Cibo e ancora cibo

You know I love food. ALL food. Yesterday we ate pasta!! I know usually Italian food abroad is horrible, but the kind I ate yesterday wasn't so bad, the sauce was really good, pasta a little bit too cooked but for my first American pasta, it was actually good. The best meal of the night was the desert. I cooked an unusual tiramisú. A friend of mine gave me the receipt, it's chocolate and everybody liked it and I'm pretty happy about that. But today we are going back in Texas and eating Mexican (I love it), there are so many Mexican restaurant here!
I promise you that next time I won't talk about food!
(Tomorrow is my first day of school, I'm so nervous)

Sapere che amo il cibo. TUTTO il cibo. Ieri abbiamo mangiato la pasta !! So che di solito il cibo italiano all'estero è schifoso, ma il tipo che ho mangiato ieri non era così male, la salsa era davvero buona, la pasta un po' troppo cotta, ma come prima pasta americana era effettivamente buona. Il top era il dessert. Ho cucinato un tiramisù insolito. Una mia amica mi ha dato la ricetta, è al cioccolato e è piaciuto a tutti e ne sono abbastanza felic. Ma oggi torniamo in Texas e mangiamo messicano (mi piace), ci sono così tanti ristoranti messicani qui!
Vi prometto che la prossima volta non parlerò  di cibo!
(Domani è il mio primo giorno di scuola, sono così nervosa)

100% American food

I was so happy because today for breakfast I ate pancakes, the best thing in the world and the greatest invention of man. If you haven't tried them yet, you should, its worth it! Speaking about food, a few days ago I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the first time, something 100% American; I know it sounds bad but I swear that is one of the best things I've ever tried!

Per la gioia del mio palato e della mia bocca oggi a colazione ho mangiato i pancakes, la cosa più buona del mondo e la più grande invenzione dell'uomo. Se non li avete ancora provati fatelo, ne vale la pena! Parlando di cibo qualche giorno fa ho mangiato per la prima volta il panino al burro di arachidi e marmellata, un'americanata al 100%; so che suona malissimo ma posso giurarvi che é una delle cose più buone che io abbia mai provato !

First days

Hey, I've been really busy these days. I went to the school and they gave me my schedule, I had orientation day, and also a little bit of shopping :) yesterday we went to downtown San Antonio, and it was so amazing !! We visited the Alamo, and then we walked by the river!
And last but not least, yesterday we went to the cinema (they call it a movie theater), we watched a really funny movie: the neighbors,  I really suggest you watch it! And of course we ate too much popcorn, yummy!!
Now we are going to the water park, finally something fresh, it's always too hot here (90/100°, crazy).
I'm really enjoying it and I can't wait to start school!!

Hi, in questi giorni sono stato molto occupata. Sono andata a scuola e mi hanno dato il mio orario, ho fatto la giornata di orientamento, e anche un po' di shopping :) Ieri siamo andati nel centro di San Antonio, ed è stato così bello !! Abbiamo visitato "The Alamo", e poi abbiamo camminato lungo il fiume!
E, ultimo ma non meno importante ieri siamo andati al cinema (lo chiamano "movie theater"), abbiamo guardato un film molto divertente: the neighbors, ve lo suggerisco caldamente! E naturalmente abbiamo mangiato troppi popcorn, buonissimi !!
Ora stiamo andando al parco acquatico, finalmente qualcosa di fresco, fa sempre troppo caldo qui (35/40 °, pazzesco).
Sono davvero molto contenta e non vedo l'ora di iniziare la scuola !!

A new beginning

Hi everyone, I created this blog to share my adventure with you.
2 days ago I left home to move in San Antonio, Texas. Where I will spend the next 10 months. I had a terrible trip,  I had to change 3 different planes, which was very boring.
Yesterday I had a little shopping, and I swear that here, everything is cheaper, amazing!
Today I have to go to school to meet my new coach, i can't wait to start!!

Ciao a tutti, ho creato questo blog per rendervi partecipi della mia avventura. 2 giorni fa ho lasciato casa per andare a San Antonio, Texas. Dove spenderò i prossimi 10 mesi. Ho avuto un viaggio terribile, ho dovuto cambiare 3 aerei, che noia.
Ieri ho avuto un assaggino di shopping e posso giurarvi che qua è tutto più economico, FANTASTICO!
Oggi devo andare a scuola per conoscere il mio nuovo allenatore, non vedo l'ora di iniziare!!!
